NISOA is now accepting online applications for the 2012 Referee Training Camp in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania from July 8, 2012 through July 12, 2012. Various scholarships and grants are available for applicants as indicated on the application form.

The NISOA Referee Training Camp is a unique, four day residential training program that focuses on improving soccer referees at the interscholastic and intercollegiate levels.

Once again, NISOA and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs are pleased to announce that attendees who successfully complete the 2011 NISOA Referee Training Camp may apply for graduate or undergraduate credit. The NISOA Referee Training Camp is eligible for 3 credits. Detailed information regarding registration procedures and fees is available at a special web page set up by the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs College of Letters, Arts and Sciences Extended Studies Department. Registration at UCCS is open until July 29, 2011.

Individuals desiring credit are responsible for paying all fees and meeting the University’s registration requirements. Special thanks to Brian Glach at UCCS, Jay Engeln at NSCAA and NISOA’s Bob Jones for making this continuing and unique partnership work for NISOA members.

The National Referee Clinic is eligible for 2 credits. The NISOA Referee Training Camp is eligible for 3 credits. Detailed information regarding registration procedures and fees is available at a special web page set up by the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs College of Letters, Arts and Sciences Extended Studies Department.

NISOA announces that 10 full scholarships are available for underprivileged individuals to attend this year’s NISOA referee training camp at Elizabethtown College. The money for these scholarships were made available from a grant from the U.S. Soccer Foundation. These scholarships are in addition to the 20 that are available for minorities and females that are funded through a grant from the NCAA. Individuals should apply for the scholarship by providing a statement with their camp application as to why they feel they are eligible.

NISOA has received a grant from the NCAA to support full scholarships for minorities and females to the 2010 NISOA Referee Training Camp. This four day residential program offers classroom instruction, field demonstrations, field demonstrations, physical fitness and on field experiences with immediate evaluations. Anyone interested in attending should complete the application form and return it by May 1, 2010. Camp dates are July 11-15, 2010.
