NISOA Partners with ECSR
The National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association (NISOA) and the Elite College Soccer Referees (ECSR) are pleased to announce a partnership designed to enhance the education and training for intercollegiate soccer officials. ECSR and NISOA have agreed to conduct joint referee instructional clinics at various locations to provide officials access to the most advanced educational material delivered by an exceptional instructional staff leveraging both organizations’ vast database of educational material. ECSR and NISOA leadership will encourage its members to join both organizations so as to be able to continue taking full advantage of all the benefits each offer. The new NISOA uniform will be the standard referee kit and is offered by Official Sports International (www.officialsports.com) who are fully supportive of this arrangement. Each organization will provide a non-voting Board member to the other organization to maximize the collaboration between the entities.
Gary Huber, NISOA President stated, “Entering into this Partnership between NISOA and ECSR will put all of us on a path to consistent education utilizing top notch instructors.This agreement will provide continued partnerships in teaching, training, and consolidation of clinics. Working with the top assignors in NCAA with their feedback, we will allow our instruction models to mimic the needs of the college game in a more real time atmosphere.”
Todd Abraham, NISOA’s Senior Director of Instruction added, “Our relationship with ECSR supports our strategic efforts to provide intercollegiate referees with the tools, capability and exposure to officiate at the highest levels of the intercollegiate game. Our partnership will streamline the requirements for collegiate referees who are members of both organizations supporting NISOA’s values of ‘family first’ while maintaining a rigorous and thorough educational experience.” The partnership agreement will commence immediately and will be in effect for the next three years at which point both parties have the option to renew the arrangement.
